Preparing for Home Shows

Checklist for a Successful Home Show:

Make a guest list and mail invitations using the invitation and labels that I send to you. It's always best to over-invite because one out of four people you invite will attend. That means you need to invite around 40 people.

Be excited, and the people you invite will be excited with you, as you lead them in the anticipation of your Home Show.

Make your reminder calls to your guests one to two days in advance of your Home Show, and always ask them if they can't come, if they would like to book a show instead.

Keep the snacks simple so you can enjoy the show and games, and enjoy a fun time.

We are going to have a great time showing lots of purses, handbags, and wallets. I look so forward to working with you!

To make sure your show is a success, please follow these easy steps and suggestions:

1. A personal invitation by phone from you, sharing your excitement about the show will assure you a good response. Encourage your friends and family to reserve the date, mark their calendars, and invite a friend. Let them know an invitation with the details will follow in the mail. Always try to over invite. Typically, only one-third of those invited will actually be able to attend the show. A phone call the day before to remind your guests is optional, however, invaluable to your success.

2. Outside orders in advance of the show are welcome. (Note: Guests in attendance at your show have first option to take home selections). Gift cards in $10 and $25 increments to be used at future shows are available; and all gift card purchases count toward your total show sales.

3. Ask your guests who are unable to attend your show to book their own showing. Don’t forget that when you get 3 future bookings for me, you’re going to get 40% off another purse.

4. Please keep refreshments simple; finger foods are best! Hosting a showing should be fun and easy, so relax and don’t worry about anything!
